Chiropractic Adjustments

At Attain Chiropractic & Wellness we use manual adjustments to treat patients. Adjustments can result in increased range of motion, reduced nerve irritability, and improved function. During the adjustment the chiropractor will locate a specific vertebrae that has an abnormal movement pattern or fails to function normally. Oftentimes, there will be an audible “cracking” or “popping” noise that accompanies the adjustment. A successful adjustment can happen without the noise, as well. That noise comes from a release of oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide from the joint and does not happen with every patient. This, along with the realignment of the bones, releases pressure on the joint. Most commonly, chiropractors treat musculoskeletal conditions. Some of which may include:

  • Acute or chronic low back pain

  • Neck pain and whiplash

  • Mid-back pain

  • Headaches

  • Extremity conditions

  • Nonmusculoskeletal conditions such as cervicogenic dizziness
